Rangers V Porto

Huge game for Rangers tonight, Winning the homes games feels like a must if we want to qualify.

Porto are unbeaten in 5 domestically and currently sit 2 points behind the league leaders, they are a team with some genuine quality and we will need to be at our very best to get the W.

Personally I think we will win and it will be 3-1 Rangers.

still buzzing after last night.

First 30 mins was dodgy, they shaped up completely differently from first leg, and to be honest it took about half an hour for us to stop $hiting themselves. I thought Goldson, Kamara and Helander where outstanding during this period in stopping them create anything significant whilst we were up against it.

We were nervy in the stands also and that filtered through to some of the players. After about 30/35 mins we started to figure them out however and we gradually took the game to them more and more.

2nd half you can tell Alfie would have been furious cos he came out like a man possessed, moaning, firing himself and the others up. Winning his battles, getting us good possession up the park, then.................
KAFECKING BOOM BUFFALO with a truly top top finish. lifts the roof on Ibrox. Were still celebrating, buzzing after that finish and then he pops up again running the channel beating his man, picks out davis and the we man get the nick to bury Porto..... Commence the bouncy. From there on we just kept Porto on the end of the leash and played like a very well established big club seeing out a game comfortably.

Goldson, Kamara, Davis and Morelos take a bow guys you were tremendous last night.

ps well done celtic you did good

Porto were all over rangers in the first half and then a deflection and poor defending cost them.

For the first thirty minutes yes but we weathered the storm and deserved the victory.

The first goal was superb and there was a deflection for the second, but we were in command anyway.

As for Celtic's 95th minute winner.

Your wums are p!sh.

The game was very similar to the away leg, we started slowly and dominated the second half.

Rangers were worthy winners

Thought Kamara was the best player for us last night tbh.

Excellent performance.

I am not a big fan of Goldson by any stretch of the imagination (reminds me of Bertie Bombscare) but he did a great job last night. I thought Davis pipped him to MoTM though.

I think the stick Goldson gets is quite bizarre tbh.

I struggle to think of too many mistakes he has made that lead to a goal.

He has been the CB charged with bringing the ball down and taking risks at the back. And he’s been pretty good at it.

i think he has been an excellent signing. £3m is absolutely nothing for a CB from the fringes of an EPL team.

Not having a pop at him but I just feel there is the potential for a mistake with him in nearly every game.

I would rather see Katic start and, in time, play alongside Gorgeous George who I think is going to be a great defender.

Goldson’s our best cb. He’s the leader in the defence. Gets a lot of unjust stick. Katic is a great defender and prospect but still raw. He’s unlucky to not be starting but think that says more about the two that are starting.

Tav also doesn’t get the praise he deserves when he does well going forward.
