Team

Sterling - Aguero - Bernardo
Foden - KDB - Gundogan
Mendy - Fernandinho - Stones - Cancelo
Walker

Ederson ruled out. Jesus has ruled himself out after that penalty miss on Wednesday. Only real selection issues would be Mahrez who should have a point to prove after last time, and possibly opting to start Bravo.

Reckon we will either get smoked or somehow edge a 1-2.

Scousers forget they spent 250m in 2018...there only response is 'yeah but its the Coutinho money'...so what
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's a fair point though. We wouldn't and couldn't have spent that without his sale. City and United don't have to sell top players to fund that kind of spending.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s a fundamental point as far as I’m concerned.

Telling Pep that he has to sell Aguero and Sterling in order to recruit would make the job extremely difficult for him to have the squad power that he does.

We have had our fair share of injuries

Our best cenrte back this season is still inured. Our keeper has been out all season as well and has only just returned.

I don't go with this thing about injuries in the premiership. All the top clubs have squads for a reason. We all spend millions to build those squads.

I think it will be a really tight game. City will be well up for it as they need the points. If we win this game it will be hard for city to get that gap closed as we are a stronger unit this season and some of our injured players like Alisson, Gomez, Ox and Keita have come back before this mental fixture pile up we have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some teams spend more on squads than others so that's a pretty black and white way at looking at it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If a team doesn't spend to build a squad then they have no excuses when they get injuries

We also spent a long time building our fitness, nutrition and medical teams which is probably why we don't use injuries as an excuse as much as other teams
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I do agree with that, impact injuries are different though and a lot down to luck. Nothing can be done to prevent an injury like Sanes for example.

100%. I doubt Leroy is ruing the fact he didn’t eat the nutritionists advised 12 almonds a day while he’s sidelined after doing his acl.

Thought him out was a huge win for United. Forget the goals, you looked well unbalanced without him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really. Salah is awful against us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really. None of our players shine against United. If Salah is awful so are most of our players at Old Trafford.

But with Salahs presence the game changes, defenders know he is there and they put two players on him etc which would have opened up the game for us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like it has in the past
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Every game is different. If you watched the actual game you'd know the answer is yes, but I guess you prefer to use past games as a barometer.

yeah we did, Klopps on a net spend of like 15m a season have to be an idiot to try and compare that to Cities or Peps just because one time we spent big one window under Klopp.

idk about this hoping we are just up for it and give city a game, but last time i said that they need to be up for it and if they cant get up for it they never will was vs Utd and it was shambolic first half. Itll probably turn out good for City Ederson is out, usually when this happens keepers play out of their skin vs us esp at Anfield, last one was recent too, Gazzaniga?

Bravo playing out of his skin for us is letting in two and making it to half time without being sent off though

What the? Are you on every thread?

You must be nervous Crazedbean, getting hot in the huge empty vacuum under your Y-fronts, no?

Also, we've been paid around 80% of the Coutinho fee so your wrong, again, for the Nth time, where N represents any number in excess of 100000000*10 to the power of infinity.
