Another long contract handed out for a player who was 29 in June.
At the end of this deal he will be 34 years of age effectively suggesting he will stay with us until the end of his career.
Lets hope he has accepted reduced wages for longevity of contract because this club is heading for trouble with the wage bill unless we can get promoted or are QSI really going to come in?
Personally i dont understand the deal.
If we go up then Klich maybe of some use initially but you would like to think we would be trying to sign better to push towards a top half spot. Are we really saying if we go up we would stick with this squad or are we saying we dont think we will go up but these players will keep us near the top of the championship with good crowds?
Klich 4.5 year deal

2.5 is the right deal

like klich but this is insane. seems like there's no long term plan after promotion. or a plan for promotion at all.
next a five year deal for allioski.

I like klich, under-rated by a lot of fans in my view and, touch wood, always fit.
But we seem to say it every time? How long? You use long term deals to secure future value on younger players. For older players, You sometimes have to give a bit longer than you’d like to get the player to sign, especially if there is interest elsewhere... but even so? 3 years I could understand, not 4.5.

O’Kane extension to be announced next week

I very much doubt he's taken a reduction in wages, this is a shocker of a deal.

Great news that, Klich is one of our best players
Know there is a lot of Klich haters on these sites that think he is sheit

If we get to the Prem, their wages won't be much of a problem even if we're not playing them as first choices.
If we don't get to the Prem, they are good players at this level.
I wince a little at these long contracts, but I don't think it will cause us any financial headaches.

Think its seen as a reward and a positive as much as an actual extension. Makes the player feel wanted by the club. A 1 year deal doesn't send out the same kinda message even though 4 for a 29 year old is a bit odd.

Good player but I agree it seems a long deal.

on the face of it, looks a bit odd I agree.
I assume we all know the exact details, wages? - pay rises if promoted?, get out clauses if he fails to make the first team?
until then, I won't comment on with it's a 'shocker', just seems like wasted words without the details right?
