With Pochettino taking Spurs

inextricably towards to the Championship on the current trajectory, exactly as I predicted a couple of months back. It is has become terminal now the decline, sleepwalking towards relegation. Unable to stop the slide down towards the bottom, and just a few points off a relegation place, Pochettino refuses to walk and Levy refuses to sack. What has become of the club I love.

The Prem performances are dire, certainly worse than anything under even the likes of AVB. Completely outclassed, outplayed and out managed by a club that were in the Championship last year. Unable to win away, unable now to win at home. One by one teams down the bottom will overtake Spurs, Newcastle went above Spurs today, West Ham will next week.

Foolishly some of our supporters are still backing the manager. Why? The football is rubbish, the team were booed off again today, and rightly so, could and should have lost 4 or 5-1. Totally unacceptable what is happening at WHL now.

The whole team bar Lo Celso were awful today, especially the full backs, Dier and Kane, misplaced passes, no passion, no effort. They should all have been ashamed to wear a Spurs shirt.

No matter the combination, the manager is now totally incapable of getting a tune out of this set of players. He is getting completely outmanaged by every team come up against now in the Prem. Yet another lead lost, no sure how many that is must be seven or eight.

Every week I say this cannot be allowed to carry on, and every week it does. It is unbelievable how this dross and results have been allowed to carry on for so long, 10 months now, and absolutely nothing is giving. Pochettino simply cannot be given the season, it will be to late by then, the Championship will beckon. Levy really does have to do it this weekend. Cut your losses Daniel, give him the money, wish him well, and then just BLOODY SACK HIM.

PS
Bayern just beat Dortmund 4-0.

6 days after sacking their manager and on the back of 1 win in 4.

Shows what getting rid of a gash manager can do....

So Sandy, you finally agree that Klopp is a better manager than Poch, and Liverpool are a better team than Spurs?

" Son should have had a penalty"
was never a pen, we were lucky VAR gave us a point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Double push in the back in the penalty area on a player that has the ball is a penalty
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It didn't look a pen to me, obviously in my opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sheffield Utd.'s first goal (5 min. VAR!!??) was a good goal! Spurs really lost that game 2-1.
btw: Son is quickly gaining a reputation as a diver, which is going to hurt him in the long run.

Sandy, you can't have it both ways. You can't give yourself credit for predicting this downward spiral, when at the same time you're predicting 4 or 5 nil wins against teams we don't even beat, like today.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course I can. This side should be wiping the floor with newly promoted sides like Sheffield United, that they are not, shows you how bad it as become under Pochettino.

I do now, but it has not been that way for most of the decade, Spurs finished above Liverpool six out of seven years, but you were in denial yourselves then.

Really?
Son played very well.
NDombele was doing well till he got injured.
Agree Dier, Davies, Aurier were terrible.
Kane, Sissoko, were tired or off form.
Sanchez average for him.

But totally ridiculous to say nobody but lo Celso played well.

I will agree that the team lacked ideas and there is a mnagement problem. Lucas Moura should have been on maybe as a starter, or certainly second half.

That said, Son should have had a penalty.
And we were saved by VAR .... Hooray for VAR!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think you need to go to get an eye test Ted, if you think anybody played well today, although Son did at least try I will give you that. Sheffield United were better all over the pitch, and should have won the game.

Taking Spurs into the Championship?

Thank you for admitting the truth. It's good to see some realism on the board. The league never lies. When you finish above us, you are better than us. Just no longer the case, is it?

I'd also be interested in your view on who was the last good Spurs manager, given your long experience of supporting the club.

No Decent manager is going to come to Tottenham under Levy's terms.
We now have a team that is in total transition with at least 4 senior players that will not be here next season, maybe more.
Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Rose, Aurier, ....
Tough to manage such a team.

Levy has not invested in top players, and resists paying market prices. There was a season with absolutely nothing being done with respect to strengthening the squad.

I don't know any top manager who will take on this task under Levy.
Allegri would be great, but Levy would have to give him a budget north of 250,000 GBP.
Sarri similarly.

Some fans on here, Sandy foremost, think the club is headed for relegation. They may be right.
This is a transition season. get ready for a bumpy ride!!

"Cristiano Ronaldo was substituted for the second straight game as replacement Paulo Dybala scored the winner against AC Milan to return Juventus to the top of Serie A."

Pity Levy didn't get Dybala, isn't it?
