The Supercopa de Espana will now be played in Saudi Arabia for the next three years and will have a Semi-Final stage as well as a Final, contested by the two Copa del Rey finalists and La Liga winners and 2nd placed club.
Supposedly a €30-40m per year deal from the Saudis.
It will also be played in January, for whatever reason
Fortunately, it has been assured that women will be able to sit and wear whatever they want without restriction in the stadiums.
This follows the Saudis acquisition of the Supercoppa Italiana last year, which is also played in January.
What does the future hold? Which supercup will be the next to be bought?
Maybe a Supersupercopa will take place with the winners of the Supercopa de Espana playing the winners of the Supercoppa Italiana to crown the champions of the Saudi Arabian Supersupercup.

The Italian super cup has being played in other companies since 2000. Nothing new.

Just a wee jaunt over to Saudi Arabia to watch your local team play in the working man's sport.

The big clubs sell out their winter break then.
Nice.
Clearly no need for one then.

winter break in spain is only one week, its not like the 1 month they have in germany, or the ridiculous 2 months they have in russia since they moved way from a summer football season
