With the talk about possible new managers and the clambering for Allegri etc. Let's not forget that Pochettino was only appointed because Louis Van Gaal had a late minute change of mind.
Van Gaal had agreed to take over but when United came calling he quickly changed his mind. From his own words and media reports it was all signed and agreed with LVG.
Take into account Levy's history in appointing managers which has been HORRENDOUS to say the least. What are the odds on him appointing and absolute flop and it all completely ending up as a huge mess.
What seems clear is that the board want a yes man or someone who can definitely work to constraints that some managers would refuse. So I think talks of Mourinho are far fetched and it will be more like Eddie Howe or the Nagelsmann guy sadly.
