Tunnocks Joke Competition Update

A wee update on the Tunnocks tea cake cup or whatever it's called for you chaps, and I'm sure you'll be interested.

The great news is that all the non-Scottish teams have now been knocked out of the only cup competition that lower league clubs have a realistic chance of winning.

The less than good news is that we still have a colts team in the competition and it's now the semi-final stage. That teams of course is the Rangers u21 team.

I'm going to go easy on the Rangers colts team though because they did knock out Wrexham who are Welsh/English (no idea which competition they play in these days). I am okay with the Rangers colts progressing ahead of the non-Scottish side, even if I strongly disagree with the inclusion of the colts.

Elsewhere, Raith won 3-2 on Friday night against Elgin, Partick won 4-1 against Stenny and Inverness did very well to win against Clyde on penalties after a virus decimated their squad. Rangers colts won 2-0 against Wrexham.

No idea when the draw is but I assume it's soon.

Good luck to the three remaining senior sides and hopefully one of them lifts some silverware this season - although Raith will be hoping to make it a league one/biscuit cup double.
