If the OP is right, then you'll have to wait another season longer.

We clearly need strengthening in January. MB seems to think we have the best starting 11 on the planet if he can't adequately add to it

I think it would be a monumental mistake not to try strengthen the squad in January and it should be the one big lesson from last season.If it happened again and it cost us promotion with this being possibly Bielsa's last season it would be unforgivable.

I read the YEP article where Orta was hinting at not expecting much activity in January and that typically the success rate for acquisitions in that period is 25%.I don't care.Other clubs make it work and they have gone up.He should back himself to get it right and make a difference.

Considering a lot off people think we'll be up there come the end, its always amusing when these posts come up!..

Bielsa got us so close last term and you could say blames himself for the shortfall, but, it was the players that lost it for him, and for those off you that haven't thought it through, for us as well!..

If he can get this team doing what they did last time out I don't think he'll let them crap it up like last time!..

I think you're giving MB too much of a free pass there Germany.

It was a failure as a collective. His tactics and refusal to rest players meant the team, as a group, were pretty much spent for the last few weeks. Players made mistakes for sure - but so did MB.

VOF, I think its the players that lost it, Bielsa might have made mistakes as far as the top two went, but, the players had it in their hands to take it further!..

They messed up in the last game that as far as some around here were concerned they weren't even good enough to get there!..

In any season even the winners make mistakes from players to management, but, for a team that were dragged down the season before and given no chance last, they did very well, just this season they're getting the same crap as any other season, even when outsiders rate our chances very highly!..

Please don't confuse wanting to give ourselves the best possible chance of promotion by strengthening the squad in several areas as writing off Bielsa and his team. Maybe it was down to the players at the end of last season but a couple of smart additions to rest likes of Hernandez and Klich (who played nearly every game)and provide cover might have been a factor in that drop off in form.

I support the team and the manager passionately but having now spent nearly 16 years outside the top flight I would hate to see such a great opportunity of getting promotion while we have Bielsa adversely affected by not strengthening in January.

Rob, I'm not saying something shouldn't be done in January, if players are there to be had than they should be chased, problem is, the finances of the club and Bielsa!..

People are saying the club is skint, not sure how bad things are but I'd think if money is there than something would be done, but, January isn't the best as far as transfers go and what do get done are more often than not overpriced!..

Bielsa, its a known fact he hates January and rarely uses it, he uses a small squad, and blames himself 90% of the time when things don't work!..

He came very close last season and I as well as hoping we call someone up is January ain't going to shoot a team down that are 3rd in the league and are as capable as any to win promotion one way or the other!..

The doom and gloom and slagging players is the last the club/players need right now!..

I'm not sure we will see much activity in January. Dependent on what happens with Kiko, we might be forced into bringing another keeper in. Still need another central defender and there's an argument that Paddy and Eddie need some help too.
