"It's true that Mourinho likes the player," Calderon told BBC Radio Wales. "He said that in 2017 when he tried to sign (him) for Manchester United and Real Madrid decided to extend the contract of Gareth Bale.
"I remember him saying 'if he is by the exit door, I will be waiting on the other side', so maybe it's a solution."
Welcome back Gareth Bale.

Would swap Eriksen for Bale in a heartbeat

Yep, Bale with his zimmerframe in tow

Still a quality player as proven with his excellent assist for Ramsey’s goal the other day.

cant afford his wages and i believe hes way past his best and hes never mentioned us once since he left .. fk him

Depends if he gets Real to pay out his contract to make him go away.
He's 30 now. Contract runs until he's 32 - if they pay that off, or something close, then a 3 year deal now on much lower wages still sees him earning big in the twilight of his career.

In fact i think his antics (Wales. Golf. Madrid flag, etc) are all working towards forcing Real to extreme measures to get rid of him. He then has a freer choice of destination and doesnt jeopardise his earnings potential

I don’t care if I’m in the minority, I would still happily take Bale and I think he would be a fantastic signing.

he'll stay playing golf unless hes sacked by madrid through the rest of his contract.
then will probably go MLS or China for last pay out before retiring on a golf course

I’d take bale back of course even just for the extra publicity it would be worth it.

Exactly. Can't be anyway back from that, surely.
And the former president agrees per the BBC article.
As Hengy says...it seems much more likely now with Mourinho here plus this flag business.

Jose's not providing enough publicity right now then?
