Norwich 2 Arsenal 2

A point gained.
We would have lost with Emery still in charge

More shots than them for once

Brighton next.

Ok, I'm not going to get into an argument with you about this but I have to respectfully disagree. They could be decent players for mid-table teams at best in my opinion.

How did Xhaka get to play for a club like Arsenal?

I would love to watch him in training because he must be one of those players that look immense in trying but can’t convert that performance on a match day. Only reason as to why he keeps getting picked.

to be fair I'm probably fighting the wrong battle here I agree they aren't good enough for a team with the ambitions of champions league football and have had enough opportunities to prove themselves and they should be replaced at the next opportunity

I originally thought he was a brilliant buy! He was bought in shortly after we list to Leicester.. now we all know that season we were the team who should have won, but cone January we fell to pieces.
Only this year, we had a fantastic midfield of Cazorla and Coquelin. Injury free they were fantastic, but too predictably they both got injured.

Xhaka combined the traits of both, theoretically. He was a defensive/ holding kid who could put in a good tackle and track opponents, yet he had vision and a good left foot. He blended both cazorla and Coquelin!

Yep, didn’t turn out that way did it.

We lost on Thursday

You look at City’s Fernandinho, KDB , Rodri and Gundughan and you think of our midfield.
If you we do not spend good money to drastically improve our personnel in that area, we will be firing the next permanent coach soon enough.

Have not posted in a while, this whole thing is crazy. We should never have sacked Emery this close to a window! We are not that sort of club! Do not get me wrong I would have supported his sacking cone the summer if we finished like we did last term,

All this does is ensure we do not spend/ change in January! It wasn’t the players it was a manager who couldn’t get the potential out of players! Nonsense. Emery dropped Xhaka, Toreira* was dropped.. both likely to be sold in janz = hope we might replace.

Now, freddie will be given time even though we all know it is just a s*** team!! Emery wasn’t great, last season’s finish was atrocious, but he didn’t deserve that thanks to an inherently S*** team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, Emery had to go, he was making the team even worse with his management style and his only tactics being to try and setup to counter the opposition.

Even though Freddie picked the wrong team and messed up the substitutions waiting too long and subbing the wrong players it was still a more positive performance than anything we've seen under Emery in a long time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yea, but with modern football players you are always going to see that pike in performance when they get there way... if we believe that both our strikers would have refused to sign contract extensions.

That means that despite the jump in player satisfaction, all Freddie achieve was, as you said, ‘ the wrong team and messed up the substitutions waiting too long and subbing the wrong players’

He is out of his depth and this will not end well.

Agree he is out of his depth and disappointed he has not addressed a lot of the issues most of us can see with his first team selection.

Emery still had to go though, it couldn't have gotten any worse.

I agree, he had to go. It was just the wrong time. Just before January, never a good time. Who can replace at this time and where is the budget to offer a replacement the chance to rebuild to boost fan/ player morale. Should have stayed with him... we need players getting rid of so why not use him to get rid of them? If it goes wrong then it is his fault but at least we lost a few dead wood with him
