Why is Martial the one player you singled out for criticism after that game?
The only negative I can say is that he didn’t attack the front post, we had so many crosses begging to be knocked in.

But as others have said, he gets no service and our midfield is dreadful. So is our defence by the way

Your first paragraph is an important reason for why he doesn’t get great service as well. His off the ball movement is so poor. He doesn’t attack the ball. He’s very much like Berbatov was for us. Lukaku would have scored a few today because he attacks the space between the defence and keeper.

What happened to martial being the white pele?

Martial off the ball movement is very poor and only moves when he has the ball at this feet.

Messi would thrive in any team, even Sunderland, until it came to the CL QF or SF rounds.

I called this ages ago.
Martial is one of our most lazy players, then it's pogba.

Both very talented but both not willing to bleed for their team ala Roy Keane/Wayne Rooney.
Ship them both out in my opinion.
