Yes I think Mourinho will make it a priority this year. So he can keep up his reputation of winning trophies.

However playing weakened sides in the early rounds and just scraping past the likes of Newport County doesn't make us more likely to lose in the semi finals when we get drawn against a big team.

Or to put it another way, hammering lower league sides on the way because we put out strong team doesn't count for anything if we can't beat the big sides in the semis and final.

Reminds me of England...Excellent during the qualifiers then when the real things comes, oh dreadful where art thou!

Except maybe the last England...Then that's rare!

I am all for playing a strong side in the FA Cup but i'd like the bench to include some youngsters like Parrot for example.

Speaking of benches, I wonder how long it will be until we adopt the same approach Italian football has with benches of up to 11-12 players.

Middlesbrough are struggling in the Championship, Woodgate and Keane may not still be there when we play them.

It would be nice to win the FA Cup, but top four and the CL will be Mourinho`s priorities.

Sandy, would of struggled against Boro if Poch was still here. I’m a lot more confident of hopefully getting a much needed trophy under Mourinho. He will take the Fa cup seriously.

Regardless of their form Jose needs to put a strong team out - he'll have the fans on his back if we don't at least have a decent run in it.

Has Mourinho won the FA tin pot in the past?
If not, then maybe he'll give it our best shot.
