Who next for Rodgers to turn down?

So he made it clear early on he wasn't interested in Spurs and has distanced himself from the Arsenal rumours, so which club that he'd "jump at the chance of managing" will he turn down next?

All the salty Celtic fans would have us believe he'd leave at the first opportunity, a bitterness bred from him leaving a pub league for arguably the best league in the world (if not at least the most exciting and supported) but those claims have since been proven as unfounded.

I guess Ole will be next out the door so the sensible bet would be United I suppose.

I just had a look at what Rodgers actually said, while still manager of Celtic he said he was concentrating on football matters and that's at Celtic. He refused to comment on whether he would join Leicester or not. Stark difference to now where he has openly said he's not interested in leaving and ruled out a move to Arsenal.

"Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers insists he is focused on his work at the club despite speculation linking him with Leicester City. (Note "focused on his work"

Rodgers is pursuing his third consecutive treble with Celtic, having won seven out of seven trophies since moving to Glasgow in 2016.

"My job is to concentrate on the football aspect, and that is with Celtic," Rodgers said. (this was prior to the Motherwell game when he still had a job to do and was focusing on doing that job)

"I've been stood here for two and a half years and I've been asked similar questions, my message is always very, very clear, I'm very concentrated on the game." (Note he said he was very concentrated on the "game", talking about the Motherwell game specifically)

The Celtic manager was speaking to BBC Scotland Sportsound before his side's Premiership game against Motherwell, where he said his concentration was "fully on getting the three points". (Note again reiterating he was focused on that game)

When asked again after the 4-1 victory about the believed interest in him from Leicester, Rodgers refused to answer the question before ending the interview. (Note he refused to answer).

In complete contrast to that, this is what he's saying now.

"Why would I want to leave Leicester City at this time?

"I am very happy so would have no need to look elsewhere."

"I have a contract here until 2022. Thus far, I know managers are losing their jobs, the club have not indicated to me that they are going to sack me.

"I am working with a group of players who have so much potential. I gave an honest answer about how all managers have some sort of clause in their contracts and suddenly that seems to have thrown a door wide open.

"For me, I repeat, I am happy here. Very happy here. I feel I want to continue with that. Take from that what you want."

Massive difference.

Yup, heard it before.

Nothing wrong with ambition though.

Trying to have it both ways, its either in the past and irrelevant or it isn't.

Winning things is what its all about, building history, reputation. LC are 4 years older than Celtic with what, 3 trophies?

You play in a pub league where it's easy to win trophies. FC Copenhagen have more trophies than us and so do Porto and Club Brugges but we beat all of them. They play in inferior leagues too.

The point of the article was about which PL Rodgers would turn down next and you're not in the PL so it's nothing to do with you. I only mentioned Celtic because you morons assured us he would jump at the first opportunity and you were wrong. It wasn't an invite to get involved.

Eh...no we weren't. Sorry but you're displaying the kind of pointless insecurity often exhibited by fans of cannon fodder clubs who get the occasional bit of success.

If you'd been established a few hundred miles north you'd be queen of the south.

Brendan will be at Leicester until a bigger club comes calling or until he gets fired. More likely, he'll get fired.

Once you had a full round of games down there, the other, mainly incompetent, coaches in that league will have figured him out and you'll start to struggle.

Just listen to the man...,there's never been a coach in the history of the game who talked so much absolute tripe.
