Well, at any rate there are whispers in the press that Diego’s time at Atletico is coming to an end. How reliable are these rumours? Prob not very... but let’s just entertain this idea whilst no one has rubbished it yet.
Would be the perfect manager for me. Builds defensively solid teams with good tactical structure. Good build up play, can sit deep, invite pressure and then smash teams on the counter.
I mean, it is pretty much what we try and do, this guy has just successfully done, turning Atletico into what the telegraph once called the ‘most brutally effective team in Europe’
Experienced winner, European pedigree, great man management ... the list goes on. Things are getting stale in Spain, time to try something new and there is a vacancy in London.

Ideally I want someone who plays good footie, but I'd back simeone if he came (which he won't).
The problem is he needs a good defence, our CB's would have him screaming for the hills.

Before Wenger went, near everyone was “Forget Simeone, just a poor man's Murinho.” What did he do since Wenger went to suddenly be upgraded to “an amazing coup”?
Not interested in us getting any defensive mindset coach thanks. The very last thing I want after seeing the poor performances we have, is bus parking strategic approach used as the fix. We need someone who can get a team to defend well whilst playing entertaining football. So some managers need not apply. And if people were accurate in the poor mans Jose description, then Simeone is one of them.

Buddy, I’m not saying I am an expert on Atletico but the times I have watched them, either in La Liga or Champions League, they have been very easy on the eye! Certainly more so than watching Arsenal play.
And to those fans who didn’t want him for those reasons, def was not me. As far as I am concerned Atletico under Diego have been a team who defend well and play attractive football.

If you've always thought than then fair enough. I don't watch other leagues so don't know. I go by the rep of the manager and opinions of people who do watch La Liga and overwhelming verdict is defensive manager. I don't want any manager from any league. Because I don't want that approach taken. Especially not with a squad this defensively weak. Even big Sam couldn't get this bunch defending decently enough to pull that approach off

I think Simeone is destined to replace Ole at the wheel after the derby defeat this afternoon.
