Will we or won’t we win the league this season is the million dollar question
Myself and every other Liverpool fan knows that nothing is won and not a single red on the planet thinks anything is done and dusted, quite the opposite
For me I think we’ve got the best chance we’ve had in 30 years and I would say it’s probably 60/40 in our favour but should we lose to Salzburg and have to play Thursday night football as a result, I genuinely think that would swing it back in City’s favour and I think we would see our lead slip
To say it’s a must win is an understatement
Season rests on Tuesday night

I'd say your season probably rests on our game against City and Boxing Day, if we somehow manage to win both of them then it will be far from over. I don't think we will win both, I think a better bet would be a draw in each which would all but put red ribbons on the trophy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You'll lose against city and think you'll beat us. I personally don't see you being able to get the 92 odd points I think you'll need but I said the same when you won it last time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm more confident about beating City than Liverpool to he honest, I'm not really too worried about playing them. Aguero is out and he's the one who usually scores against us. I think we will carve their defence apart and Vardy will have a field day.
I think we will get better as the season progresses too and I'm pretty sure we will amass more points than when we won it but don't know about reaching 90. Never know with us though, anything is possible 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And you’re not too worried about playing City? Cos Aguero is out?
One name to say to you, friend: Jesus. And not the religious bloke either. Gabriel is a top, world class striker.

He's good but he's not as good as Aguero, hence why Aguero scores more goals every season. I'm less worried about City because their defence is gash and with Fernandinho at the back their midfield doesn't possess a lot of steal, Ndidi will be all over it. Certainly not as worried about them as I would be with Aguero, Laporte and Fernandinho where he should be. We're a quality side as well and they have to cope with us, it took them a wonder strike to beat us last season and we're better now and they're weaker.

ArroinLestah.... physiologically I just think it’s too much. A team playing Thursday then Sunday will never win the peen, they may do if they only start playing Thursday after new year but it will be really tough but from Aug to May for me it’s not possible

Our net spend over the last 5 years is around the same as Spurs and hundreds of millions behind City This is a fact and cannot just be ignored. We've lost some top players and reinvested well. Spurs have kept hold of their players and the team has stagnated.
Not looking for sympathy Liverpool is just better managed.

And today's result is why I'm not too concerned about playing City.

I expect City to be impeccable in the second half of the season, just like last season.
Liverpool still need to enlarge the gap because City will be coming back hard IMO.

No chance they're putting together the run they did at the end of last season with their current CB issues.

Yeah no way, Stones out again now too. They will lose way too many points until Laporte is back but even then Pep might keep Fernandinho at the back and that makes them weak in midfield. They're done in my opinion because I think psychologically the players will be thinking it's over and that will affect their energy levels and subsequently their performances.

How long is Laporte out for? I thought he's back in January?
