Id prefer us to have a better plan than sit back and get the Red Arrows to counter, bit itl have to do for now.

Forget your Ole hatred. Any neutral would have enjoyed that game. If you are not happy then you cant appreciate a good game of football. We played better and won. That's it.

Big McT. What game plan would you have had against this City team with this United squad ?

Yeah, sitting back and hitting teams on the counter was never a tactic that served us well under SAF...

We've beaten City at the Etihad 3 times in the last 5 games now. I just think he should be better than that. What's he doing? Just giving everyone else a chance? Is he even slightly, a little bit, fraudiola?

Lingard was excellent first half, Tiddles. His movement and link play is usually very good, but he was another level today.

His game has its deficiencies, but he just makes life so much easier for the midfield two when he’s on the pitch.

I thought he was excellent as well Rosso, a few of those runs in behind the city defence were fantastic.

McTominay was the big one for me though, he was facking fantastic for you guys. I’d be making him club captain next season if i was Ole, he radiates leadership in the best way possible, and is your best midfielder outside of Pogba. And Pogba probably won’t be there next season so will outright be your best.

Like unsaid, it will have to do for now, but I'd prefer the break to be 1 of a number of approaches we can adopt.

I don't hate Ole

I loved the game and the result

My comment was to do with Uniteds tactics long term, not about yesterday

McT looked like a United player before he broke into the senior squad. His mentality is brilliant; he’s hardworking, singleminded, and lives for the badge.

The only real question was about his ability, but his development by the Academy staff was superb. They knew they had a player, and I think it showed, because they had him playing everywhere on the pitch in the season before he stepped up: in central defence, at DM, AM and up top.

He has a great understanding of the game, and maturity beyond his years.

Kids nowadays seem to think that footballers should be judged based how Instagrammable their rabonas are and how many no-look chipped passes they attempt.

Great, all that sheet looks fun; but I’d rather have a Tevez than a Le Tissier, a Keane than a Pogba, a Terry than a Luiz, or a Shilton than a Higuita.

Because we know which of those you could absolutely depend on to get the actual job done.

Tevez or RVP, Keane or Zidane, VVD or Terry, Ederson or Shilton?
