I think it's clearly Auba is not winger and he is wasted there. Also Laca can only play through the middle. I think only way this two can play together is 3-5-2 or 4-4-2. When we play 4-2-3-1 one of them has to go to bench. They are probably our 2 best players and they are at the same position which makes problem for whoever is coach. It's pretty hard to fit them both in XI.
I would try this formation next game:

Bellerin-Chambers-Holding-Tierney
---------Torreira--Xhaka-------------
Pepe--------Ozil-----------Martinelli
----------------Auba-------------------------
Also not sure about Martinelli at wing, not seen enough his display from winger position. But I would try him there to see.

Auba has to play upfront from now on. Try laca as a no.10, if that doesn't work, he has to stay on the bench.

Bottom line is that both don't have the chemistry or link up play to be successful together.
Auba is the better finisher but literally offers nothing else in the game.
You see Firminho, Salah and Mane and the link up play is so natural and fluent
