Poor Timing for the win?

Over the moon that we won! We were pretty poor until we equalized. Amazing how good we can play when playing between the lines and forwards instead of side to side.

However...could the timing be horrible? I would have loved to have beaten Norwich in the Hope's that confidence would be up so we could beat Brighton and West Ham. That way, my hope would be that even if we lose to City, our confidence would not be shot all over again. My fear is that could happen. Hoping we can get something out of the City game now as they look nervous at the back and hoping Bournemouth away could be a win as they are injury ravaged.

Hope Bellerin and Tierney are back fast and Kolasinac is ok as he was carrying an injury. But both AMN and Kolasinac played decently today.

Xhaka....I counted at least 2 cross field balls to the opposition that put us straight under pressure. When will this guy LEARN? Also wanted nothing to do with the ball on West Ham's goal. Stark difference to Chambers putting his head where it hurt.

3 points lads...we have not said that in 2 months!

Because Ozil never passed the ball across and backwards all game putting damn near everyone on the back foot/under pressure at all did he?

This is exactly what I mean re Ozil. You criticise Xhaka for what Ozil sat doing all game, causing more danger, just at a shorter range. Whilst conveniently failing to mention than Ozil done nothing but play him and Torreira into greif. And totally disregarding the fact that it's OZIL'S FECKIN JOB to move his ass contantly, ALWAYS presenting Xhaka/Torreira with the viable forward option so they DON'T NEED to go crossfield. OZIL'S FAULT but you blame Xhaka!

Do you actually know what a CAM is supposed to do? Because what Ozil done last night wasn't even half of it. Same as always.

No it wasn't a poor time for a win but oh my is it a great time for an upset

Chill out and try a taste of positivity peeps, tastes good. The players leaving the pitch with some individuals clearly receiving the manager's “SEE! I told you, you could do it!” whilst they were clearly acknowledging that for themselves. Shows how lost confidence was. But that game was a definitive turn around moment if ever I saw one. Not so much in terms of City or Liverpool but in terms of the likes of West Ham. Expect a return to flat track bullying shortly. As for City...

Well feck it, we'll probably lose and could concede a bagfull. BUT then again, you honestly reckon Pep is at all confident right now, that his current defence can shut down Pepe Auba and Martinelli? HELL NO! Knowing Pep he's probably got the tap up team ready to get to work on the last name. So just enjoy the thought of a Martinelli infused upset, at least until the game. Because Guaridola is most certanly sweating one. If you want the players to believe in themselves well sh!t YOU gotta put at least a bit of beleif in them. And Martinelli has done enough to make you believe he could cause complete havoc for City. That player in particular and several others, gave Arsenal fans something to be positive about. So for once can't people just be positive, instead of immediately pouring negativity on it.

I mean to say “Not a good time for a win” about the win that ends the longest winless streak in 40 years It doesn't really get anymore negative than that. ANY WIN ending a bad results streak is a good one! Truly some sh!t only an Arsenal fan of the “Problem at club” persuasion, would come out with

Just go support a team that wins all the time OP. Because you clearly DON'T SUPPORT ARSENAL!!

Done with this fool and his Ozil butt kissing/negativity rubbish. Man I wish I could filter these fans out of the club the same way I'm gonna filter him here. AFC would be so much better of for it.

Don’t think think the op means he hoped we lost this game, more that it’s a shame our first win had to come before a hard streak where there’s a good chance we could lose a few again, thus potentially upsetting the confidence gained by this win.

It’s always good to win any time, but it is annoying this couldn’t have come a few games ago where we might have then got maximum points against the easier teams, before hitting the hard games
