Players can change fans' minds pretty quickly, look at McT, look at Fred... They were hated and maligned on here and turned it around

I never got the McT thing. He played within himself and took very few risks under Jose, but that was what he was asked to do. Jose even came out and told the fans to boo him not McT, as he was just carrying out his order. I always said that he deserved more time to prove that he could do more once the shackles were off. I was hopeful from what I had seen that he had what it took to at least be a squad player. He has surpassed my expectations (at least on current form) and looks good enough to be a regular starter. I'd even say that he is captain material. He will never be our most talented player, but he is packed full of minerals and has a fantastic attitude.

Never criticised mctominay myself but was a huge critic of Fred and tbf it was all warranted.
Delighted however that he's turned it around in recent weeks.

Pereira has had his chance imo. He's got to be 23/24 now, played a couple of seasons in Spain hasn't once looked good enough on the wing, cm or am.

I had high hopes for Pereira, but I think that his chance has gone now. I don't think that is has helped him being pushed from one position to another, but he is where he is. We need better and I would rather see Garner taking up a squad position at the moment, so I think that we need to let him go.

Still think Pereira has the technical ability to make it at United... Mentality is were he falls short

Which is strange, as he obviously has confidence. One of my favourite things about him when he was emerging was his willingness to take the ball in tight situations. He always showed for the ball. But there just seems to be something missing there.

He tries to, he doesn't know how to. Spends half the game giving away stupid fouls, taking too long on the ball and losing it.

I think he just doesn't have the footballing intelligence required. You see the likes of McTominay making much better use of his body and lesser technical skill set for example.
