Not really surprised by these types of performances anymore. Rest assured we'll see a fair few more of them before the season ends. A few general things that are frustrating me though:
1) Dan James. I really like the guy, but teams that sit back render him completely ineffective. This paper thin squad obviously limits our options but for now Greenwood needs to be starting on the right in the next 2 games.
2) The full backs. Firstly Luke Shaw. Absolutely fed up with him now. Would rather see Young and Williams rotate on that side. And secondly Wan-Bissaka. Has received a hell of a lot of praise this season but I've been far from convinced, and this is not knee-jerk reaction from me. Yeah, his slide tackles look great but his positioning is poor and going forward he is pretty much non-existent. We apparently had scouted over 800 right backs before deciding on him according to Woodward. I'm still finding the decision to settle on him a bit questionable tbh.
3) De Gea. Becoming more and more concerned about him - this has been going on for almost a year now. Said in the summer we should think about getting rid and I stand by that. Even setting aside these kinds of mistakes, he is still not quick enough of his line and he still doesn't dominate his box like should. And these have always been problems, but he now isn't even that reliable a shot-stopper.
Only positive today was how we looked after Pogba came on. Without sounding too Hafi-like we genuinely could have and should have had about 3 goals in that final 20. Consistency has always been a problem for him but I can only think his return should really help us in these types of games.

The scary thing for United fans should be the decline of the club hasn’t been halted yet alone turned around in 6 years.
Most of the problems have only got deeper and harder. Facing a decade in the wilderness at least.

There was no decline six years ago, we were champions.
Since then we have one an FA Cup
A League Cup, and
the Europa Cup.
The decline has been gradual, and even this year, with a bit of luck we can win something.
To say facing a decade in the wilderness is just wild guesswork. Lot's can happen in a season.

Regarding the league we’ve had 7 years of wilderness dwelling already.
We keep hearing it will take a couple of years for Ole to make his mark, so it’s not that bold a prediction

Wan-Bissaka starting to remind me of kolasinac. Looks good to begin with because he’s strong, tough in the challenge and decent driving forward, because Stuff like that looks impressive you gloss over the other parts of their game. Poor positioning, bad passing, timing challenges etc

Not worried about AWB, he’s a massive improvement defensively, definitely needs to work on his link up play though
Don’t think Shaw is ever going to be the player we thought we bought from Southampton, wether it be because of injury or the fact he’s too inconsistent

The annoying thing is, is when you (your club/board) see your fiercest rivals hoover up the biggest trophies one after another. And then you see our board are just sitting at their desks twiddling their thumbs and counting the money.
It took years of hard graft and quality genuis from SAF to bring us up to where we once were. Now this board is not honouring the man who brought life back to United.
I know there are many factors that have resulted in our decline, but a club the size of United should be doing everything in it's power to remain competitive.
Too many major flaws in the boardroom.

Yep, and yet people still focus their ire in on the manager.

Ole is only a small part of the problem.
I have nothing against Ole, and in reality most managers in his position would unlikely turn down a chance to manage a club like United. It's a shame that the job is just too big for Mr Yes/nice guy
The board however, have the complete power to overhaul things. But they themselves are clueless when it comes to football matters. Part of the reason is, they care little so long as the brand is still cashing in, they'll do things like take out money from the club to finance other ventures/greed

Don't get why OGS is getting blamed. I never blame managers who get us to outplay the opposition.
Remember everyone trolled LVG at home when we were averaging 2-3x more shots than the opposition every home game it was 0-0.
The same thing is happening to Solskjaer but home and away.
Its actually worrying since SAF left this is the first season we have like near title winning stats but have the fewest points. Can't win away from home. I keep seeing crap teams have a few shots against the same teams we have tons of shots and can't score.
Heck the same happened against Rochdale at home and Astana at home and even away. We have much more shots then the teams who thrash the same side but barely can even score a goal. Its not like we don't create clear cut chances, we have plenty of them but still can't score.
Honestly don't get how Rashford gets away from the media criticising him. Honestly this is his worst season for us as he probably missed more chances this season already than any of the other seasons he has had with us.
De Gea we all know he can't save a shot away from home unless its extremely easy like the 30yd deflected shot that rolled to him today but Solskjaer some reason keeps playing him. I wouldn't play De Gea again this season. What is the point of having a keeper if he can't make a save and gifts the opposition goals every game?
How can a team concede near the fewest chances in PL history per game and barely keep a clean sheet and the keeper keeps playing. Honestly think we would have conceded less even with the small Fred as the keeper since March.

Just checked and we conceded more goals than expected in 11 of the 18 league games so far. The 7 games we haven't we conceded as many goals as we should have bar the Man City game and Chelsea game we should have conceded just 1 more.
So basically in only 2 games De Gea has saved us, 11 games he has cost us and 5 games he has been average. 2 games in 19 PL games De Gea has done better than expected lol.
