Nev says calm down calm down please

Saturday we where beaten by a better team we brought Albrighton on who did Man City bring on. No one played badly but when three of our players are not on top form then against that quality of opposition then there is only one result.
Kasper was outstanding ....Yes i did say that im warming to him its only taken years. Never a penalty on Barnes as part of the keepers union you come out at the feet of a striker you are in more danger than he is, not the same as a tackle.

Formation,we could play any we have got teams working us out now twice the high press has cost us we still tery and play football every time from the back.

So we will be in the top two for Christmas and i will be in Saudi Arabian desert so whos got the better deal?

I said on tut radio last time i was on i would take top for now i stand by that if you take out that season we have spent more time fighting to stay in the prem rather than challenging for the top seven.

Lets judge the players on what they have achieved not on losing to Premier League Champions or a possible defeat to the world champions?

Happy Christmas to you all Hugs Nev

World Champions sounds so much better than it actually is but I'll take it

I agree with all your sentiments Nev, and let’s be honest, most of us are in dreamland rather than panicking!

But it’s not the result over the last two games that is a concern, it’s the performances and you’ve even called the major concern - have teams worked out how to play against us. This is definitely worthy of debate.

I think we all agree (including Rodgers) we didn’t give a good account of ourselves on Saturday. I think we all agree that we’ll need tactical flexibility depending on how teams approach us. I guess that was my biggest issue. Having seen Rodgers make such a blinding tactical formation change against Everton, I was disappointed to see him stick with failing tactics against City.

But these are think Rodgers has also said, and I’m sure he and his players will be working on the right options. The fact that 3-5-2, 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 AND 4-1-4-1 (4-3-3) are open to us we should be ok against most teams.

But we haven’t got most teams next, we’ve got the champions of Europe and The World. Hmmmmm. Anyway, I maintain my views that losing to a top team is ok, but not if you don’t give a good account of yourself.

I hope we give a better account against Liverpool and then whatever the result, push on to try and hold top 4 next year. Because let’s be honest, Rodgers and the players would deserve all the praise they get if they achieved that.

Interesting i have been in Both Abu Dhabi and Qatar when these compertitions have been held and the South American teams don't understand why we don't take it seriously well Klopp did that.

I do think teams have sussed us out but thats not the same as being able to stop us as in that season.

We will do the best we can and maybe play two up from but lets try and enjoy the moment

Yeah, I don’t think things are as bad as all that, just as they weren’t as good as all that when we were on form. There is a temptation to stick out the reserves for the Liverpool match and go all out for the West Ham match, although I can’t see that happening in practise.

Completely agree with Nev's sentiments, don't get carried away with good form and don't panic with the odd defeat against superior opposition.

Just enjoy the Ride.

Merry Xmas Nev.

I'm very calm Nev and hugely enjoying this season so far - how could you not when we are just one point from safety at Christmas?

That's the beauty of Football Nev, you never know what will happen.

The way the results are going we might even extend our lead over 5th.
