Daley Blind

Very sad to hear about his recent diagnosis.

Not sure he’ll ever return which is sad for anyone who’s dedicated his life to his passion but his health must come first.

Always thought he was highly underrated and seriously misused during his time here.

Get well soon Daley

He said he will try to return, so he probably may do

He definitely may not though.

He's probably playing for Ajax again in January. Not sure why everyone is so negative when Blind, Ajax and the Dutch media are positive.

I think the fact he has any kind of heart issue and now has to have a device inserted to regulate his heart is kind of the issue.

Of course Ajax and Blind are going to be positive, that’s what you do when someone’s ill.

Everyone sends a get well soon card not a “oh cr*p well you had a good life” card

The heart device is a precautionary measure. Just to error on the safe side.

the BBC article is more negative and scaremongering than what we read in Holland

Ok I didn’t realize we had a cardiologist on the site

I’ll ask admin to rescind this article as you’ve assured us all Daley is fine and will pick up his career right where it left off

Ow fack off.

I am just putting down what's in the Dutch news.

Youre acting if he needs an amputation from the neck down. I merely wanted to reduce some worries.

A Dutch cardiologist has said that most likely he can perform at the top for many years, even with the little apparatus.

Myokarditis is an autoimmune reaction to an infection somewhere in the body. hell be fine and back on the field soon enough. ive recently overcome the same condition and his heart being a professional athlete will be way stronger than mine and im running and cyckling as i did before, hell need rest at first and tratment for whatever the infection was/is.

Stop being so positive everyone!

You’re ruining the OP’s thoughts and prayers.

I find it difficult to sympathise with a guy who won't be able to play football anymore but will still live a relatively healthy life with a bottomless pot of money.

I am a miserable cant though.
