Robertson is definitely better than Alaba, think that was well proved when we spanked Bayern last year.

I’d still take Alaba personally

No doubt Robertson is a great player and a steal at 8m but just because their respective teams are experiencing different fortunes atm, doesn’t automatically make the player better, Alaba’s all round ability clinched it for me, great defender, attacker, passing range, free kicks, pens, he’s got the lot

Each to their own I suppose, I'm taking nothing away from either as they're top tier left backs. I just think Robbo pips them to the top spot. Funny thing is, I think it would be very difficult to name 10 world class left backs.

Alba is a poor defender. Great going forward though. Robertson has both. Alaba similar. I actually prefer him in midfield.

Alaba has far suprior tekkers (bar crossing) but everything about Robbo fits Liverpool (same could be said of Alaba and Bayern I guess).
