Owen and Rooney started a lot of games when young.

This is only Greenwood's second pl started. I don't think a few more games would burn him out.

I reckon he will have started 20 games or so by the end of the season. That is fine in a team that is struggling and that had a couple of young forwards already looking to prove that they have what it takes to thrive at such a big club. Ole hasn't slowly brought him into the team in the easier games and let him build his confidence. Second half of the season I expect he will start a few more games as he beds in.

Yep - Ole's following Sir Alex's lead by not putting a heavy load on Mason, and Mason has rewarded us very well as a result. I think we put too much on Marcus and he almost burned out as a result. Greenwood is doing very well and we'll see plenty of the lad before May.

He's confidence looked fine to begin with. Young players are often treated as if they're too fragile these days.

Of course this should have been avoided by getting a striker in the summer.

If we do get a forward in Jan, that would then limit his appearances for the 2nd half of the season. Big if though.

Rashford has started nearly every games since Ole has been here. He hardly gets a rest. It seems Jose got it right by bringing him in and out of the team.
