What do you think of him long term?
Personally I think he can be a very useful player and have a long career at OT but I’m not sure he quite has it be a regular for a team that wants to win the big trophies.
He’s not a bad footballer by any means and had done very well for his first experience of top flight football but he relies on being given space to use his pace. He can be nullified against sides who sit back especially from the right hand side and he’s unlikely to displace Rashford on the left.
He can very useful against the big sides or to bring on when we are leading and teams need to come out but Greenwood is a far better option against sides who sit deep.
Very useful but probably never quite good enough to play every week is how I see him so far.

needs to eat a couple more double-whoopers.
he's sawft. when he gets stronger, but keeps that pace, with that added bit of experience. making that right decision.. yeah, i think he's future is bright. Whether its at UTD, hmm?
because i see him a bit soft i see him in an arsenal shirt....

On the 'good purchase - bad purchase' continuum, James is most definitely at the former end.
A season plus point that actually looks the part.
Problem is he arrived as lukaku went.
Its almost as if the club is intent on continuing to maintain no sense of balance or shape as some kind of ironic joke.

Only Son, TAA and KDB have more assists than James this season. Amazing stats for someone in the lower half of the Championship this time last season.

He is prone to talking bollox quite a lot.
