Are we racist against Black players

From other countries? Or maybe let me rephrase the question and say do we find it easier to criticize, despise vilify black players from other countries? Its almost like we started hating english black players less and moved the frustration to those from other countries.

The article above by a City poster got me thinking about how we find it so easy to make black players, particularly from other countries scapegoats when things don't go wrong. Make no mistake I watched the Wolves vs City match and the one individual who lost City that match was Raheem Sterling. The concession of that first goal changed everything. Multiple times he gave away posession and was poor all game followed by the quite deplorable Otamendi. Forget the Mendy mistake, once City conceded that first goal there was no way there were going to hold out.Even Pep was livid with Raheem who did not even trackback. By the way that was Mendys's first loss in a city shirt. The guy has probably played 35 odd games since he has joined the club but he gets less sympathy than Sterling who is an english poster boy and by the way scored I think his 20th goal against Wolves.

Maybe the city fan created this article in anger and I won't say he has previous so I could let it slide. But there is one racist city fan and I'm not afraid to call him out. The guy used to post article after article about Yaya Toure and you could almost see the racist attitude in every articke, like how dare as a black player you feel bigger than the club.

Yaya is no saint and a bit thick sometimes but even as a white man the attacks just felt racist.

There are so many examples in this country. The way Mane and Salah are treated by the media and opposition fans when they dive yet Sterling gets away with murder. I have left out the obvious double standards for the likes of Kane and Wayne Rooney which actually almost made me hate the English game. Every top club has famous examples.

We treated Eboue like krap. At Spurs Sissoko and Aurier are treated badly in my opinion. Pogba, Lukaku etc

Even when you listen to commentators you feel when a black player doesnt perform he gets no SYMPATHY that his white colleagues get. The get out of my club thing seems also to be reserved for black players.

Maybe I am reading too much into this but its almost like we have found a way to transfer our inherent anger on black english players to those from abroad, especially those that live a flashy wild lifestyle.

Am I reading too much into this?

Manc is your issue specifically with supposed false racist accusations or all false accusations. I dont get your motivation here. Can you give us an idea of your thought process? What is it in this specific case that you have a problem with?

Python has an IQ of a breadstick, thus way too tricky for him to answer. Go easy on him next time.

I think he has a valid point. The media in this country are an utter disgrace who fuel thick neanderthals up and down the country.

“Am I reading too much into this?”

In my opinion yes, I sit in the North Bank and have done for many years and I have never witnessed it in the way you suggest.
Eboue got some serious stick when he came on as substitute (not from me) but it was the worst performance from a substitute I have ever seen.
I would also add that the jeering Eboue got was nothing compared to what Xhaka received and Bendtner regularly got panned by the fans.

“Are we racist against Black players”

No, not at Arsenal anyway, the entire time I’ve been going I haven’t seen racism rear its ugly head.
The only mention of racism is from the loudspeakers talking endlessly about stamping out the non-existent racism we are seeing at the ground. 🙄

One thing I should add, I didn’t boo Eboue even though he was truly awful that day, I never boo my own players. I have contempt for any Arsenal supporter that does that - but do you REALLY think Eboue was treated worse than Xhaka in his early years ? Not a chance.
