Jamie Paterson's loan has been cancelled and he returns to Brizzle. Clearly he was a last resort squad-booster at the end of the last window when other targets such as Scott Sinclair could not be acquired. He gave perhaps the most uninspiring interview on arrival that professional sport has ever witnessed and he scored a goal. He looked a bit of a nob and there were rumours that he was indeed a bit of a nob, but let's focus on the good times. This article can serve as a book of condolence where Rams fans can recall their personal favourite Jamie Paterson moments.

Set up the goal for the Martin equaliser against the dirties.
He goes with my blessing for that but he had a bit too much red in him for my liking.

He could have played him more but decided to play Knight and Holmes. It may have been better, results wise, but I think the ethos is to play our own players where possible.
I can’t see us bringing a loan player in during this window unless it’s a real improvement.

My favourite memory of Paterson is today when I read this post. Goodbye and don't come back Jamie.

Nothing wrong with a bit too much red

No news of Dowell then. Who gets the Leon Best Trophy for most useless loan player?

I was going to say Efe Ambrose, but he was on a short-term contract

The club are in a similar situation to myself on Friday, when the cold chicken balti pie I had "enjoyed" at Wigan had worked its way through my system: in urgent need of a Dowell movement.

Did Alan Hinton have too much red in him too?
