Wow...two wins on the bounce. Admittedly the Wigan game was awful and we didn’t deserve it, but three points it is.
The doom and gloom has started to lift as we’re back up to fifth. Another Home performance like that however and we’ll quickly drop again. Too many below par performances with the team looking knackered by the end.
Blackburn narrowly lost to Huddersfield last time out but prior to that, they were an an eight game unbeaten run. Dack will be a big miss for their play-off hopes. November and December saw them fly up the table but that seems to be slowing fast.
If we can muster up the energy we’ve got a half decent chance, but Lolley and Silva have to start, Sow desperately needed back also. We’ll be lucky to get a draw without him.
The LB remains an issue, Chema doing a job, but not an attacking threat. Ribeiro nowhere to be seen, Robinson to stay on the bench.
Carvalho was terrible. Zero confidence out wide. He just hadn’t the strength. He only can play one position, so bench for him also. Same for Yates.
Samba
Cash Worrall Figueiredo Chema
Watson Sow
Lolley Semedo Silva
Grabban
Smith Dawson Robinson Jenkinson Yates Carvalho Ameobi
Not the greatest bench, so we’ll need to win it before the 70 minute mark. Hopefully they play like the home team.
2-0 to Forest with Sow, 2-0 to Blackburn without Sow.
Happy New Year everyone!

If we go up playing counter attack football I’m ok with that

Warburton was obsessed with possession for possession’s sake and it didn’t work

So our two games v Reading in space of two weeks could play a big part in season.

Reading have won 5 on the bounce and had kept 4 clean sheets before today with notable away wins at Preston and now Fulham. Will be a very difficult two games against them

Hopefully we have our reinforcements in for one or both of those!
