Sky Sports news yesterday claiming Arsenal probably have to sell before they buy. Not sure why they think that's the case.

Cause it sells. Make up anything that sells.

Wouldn't surprise me if we also had to chip in with half his wages if it came to it.
There's more to life than football. I can understand why he and his wife would welcome a move back to the Bundesliga.

Thankfully the deal looks like it will be a £2m/£3m loan and £25m after that so fee would be c£28m. Its more abt the fee this time and not wages. I'd do the deal but its up to Arteta.

Bite off the arm for any Xhaka deal that doesn't see us paying his wages. Its a miracle of football that someone's prepared to offer 20 odd mil. If I was tbe other club rep, I'd be holding up his arsenal social media life saying "15 ya jokers, according to your own fans, he's not even worth 10" (actually laughing as I said it). Then point out the part where fans clearly blame Xhaka for both Emery and Wenger's sacking and remind the manager he could be next if he turned me down.
We aren't making any decent money off selling anyone we want to get rid of. Their reputations have been ruined at Arsenal. They just want out and clubs just want to pay pennies or try before they buy. So we gotta buy in babies, we'll undoubtedly get a dudd veteran also. Only quality player deals will be like Pepe's. We ain't laying out any big money for players. That's why we're not signing already. Firmly barrel scraping and bargain hunting. Ya know how Stan loves to do it.
After the conduct of a lot of our fans the last 2 years, people should primarily be worried about who might be handing in a transfer request at the end of tonight's game/tomorrow morning. If I was any one of the players who still had market value (established or potential), I'd be handing mine in. Before the atmosphere and fans at AFC made me worthless to any good team.

Not bad. But we all know that Daniel Levy or whoever does the transfers at Chelsea would wring an extra £10m out of the deal.

Yeah but he'd have sold him LAST season. We snooze so we lose
