Importance of Walcott

I think people are very quick to jump on Theo's back! Yeah I agree, he has some games where he let's himself down but more often then not, he always brings something to the table, whether that be an assist ( majority of them being for rvp) or a goal.

Firstly, he is not a winger and a natural like someone like Nani and has had to adjust his game. However, he gives our team a whole new dimention purely because of his blistering pace and his strikers instinct (missed a sitter yesterday but we all know he can finish).

When he is in the team, the opposition have to play a certain way, they can't play with such a high line, and in general they have to tinker their game.

I'm sure the opposing teams would rather see the likes of Arshavin or Benayoun in the teamsheet then Walcot!

I think we as fans need to cut him sone slack as we would be a lesser team without him. He is still young hopefully he will play as a striker one day for us and I'm fairly confident he will score $hit loads for us.

Ps: anyone know anything about his injury?

Yea totally agree with you Castor. The guy is now becoming one of our best players yet I keep seeing people saying he should be dropped for AOC or Miyaichi!

He is going to be a big miss for us especially for the NLD where he caused havoc last season. Fingers crossed he won't be out for long.

i do get frustrated with him during games with his general play but you always know he will an assist or score, especially later in the game. His pace causes havoc; ok the end product isn't there sometimes but we wouldn't even be creating those chances without him.

I Thought he played well yesterday.. Should of scored but mainly all of rvps chances are created by Theo. For someone who's not a natural winger.. His stars are as good or even better than a natural winger. Some fans need to get off his back.

I get so frustrated with him at times but I agree he brings something to the table that other teams have to adjust for. I did notice yesterday he was throwing his arms up a bit when he was not doing/trying some things that did not go right and that annoyed me. I'll just have to live with the fact Theo is Theo, if he really was a natural footballer he would be phenomenal, that will never happen but he can be good for the team on his day and frighting to the opposition.

Stats

2010-11 season 38 games 13 goals 8 assists....(goals in League and 7 assists)

2011-12 season 9 games 3 goals and 2 assists...

not bad for a rubbish player is it ?

considering the bad start we have had this season 3 goals and 2 assists are brilliant..

If we compare this to RVP this season

7 Games 3 goals 1 assist

He is doing well or can we say RVP is rubbish ?? make your mind up
