Apparently we had a £34M bid for him turned down by Lyon. Doesn’t sound like they’re willing to sell in January though - it’s difficult to sign good players in the middle of the season.

They bought him for 20m so likely they want to make some profit if he does go. Maybe stop being so stingy and offer more than 50% of a Pepe

Yup - that does sound “cheap” for a proven goalscorer. I was surprised no English team tried to buy him from Celtic last year. They could have got him for £20M

Not sure he's worth more than that offer honestly. Would've been a decent deal in 2017 when the homegrown quota was a problem for us, now with that not being an issue going forward we can do better.
I'd straight swap him for Bats, but that would be my limit & Lyon would never agree to it.
