Bores me to death. Puts me to sleep every time he's on commentary.
Cliches abound , subtle jabs at certain clubs and players and useless references to events from a long time ago that have nothing to do with the actual match we're watching.
And lately he's been rather fascinated with a London-born Brighton player who plays for Colombia.
Never quite liked him as a commentator.
Give me the likes Ian Crocker , John Champion and Guy Mombray everyday.

The current ones are all better than Martin 'pause' Tyler. Martin Tyler has changed a lot, you can sense that he's trying to modernize himself and he barely gets going when a goal is scored. When a top side scores, its about as celebrated as a miss.
The one who does BT sport, Bill Leslie are the best ones imo, I still enjoy the Alan Parry commentaries.

Peter Drury is one of the best right now imo. He could make a simple 5 yard pass sound like a champions League winning goal and I'd buy into it every time.

Second goal was worse. I was watching in a pub and genuinely wondered if he’d nodded off or something - I don’t think he mentioned there was even a chance on until Mahrez was round De Gea, then he said “It's going to be two” or something like that.
