Experience at higher levels obviously help but its not the be all and end all neither is age. Vardy being a prime example of a late bloomer. Klopps not looked at players like Phillips and looking at his age or how many times hes played if he likes what he sees in training he will trust him to play, if you’re good enough you’re old enough.

There an average peak age but everyone is different and will reach it at sifferent times under different circumstance a lot simply never will too due to injury or whatever or not finding the perfect surroundings or have the correct attitude to do so.

It would not surprise me if Phillips never played for Liverpool again tbh.

Williams looks game but he's so one footed Id question his technique.

I thought Williams was comfortably your best young player. Wasn't that impressed with Chirivella, but that was just in a comparison to the rest of the players. Jones was also good though.

He’s played very little first team football.

seems to be a lot of plaudits for Adrian's saves, but they were saves he should have been making. I don't think he should be praised so much for the saves themselves, but for the positioning he took up to make the saves. he was always already stood in exactly the right place to make those saves easily, and with minimal effort.

I thought our attacking play was disjointed, but considering those picked up front, that was expected, and it improved considerably as the game progressed. but far too often, when crossing into the box, there was no-one in the box to get on the end of it. but again, that would improve as the players all got used to playing together more.
can see minamino playing either just behind firminho, or replacing firminho. would definitely like to see him playing with mane and salah either side of him.
could also play him and firminho as a front two. with their running and workrate they would absolutely knacker the defenders, and then we sub them for the speed of salah and mane.

was very impressed with Williams, if we need to rest Robertson at all, I could see us moving TAA to lb and play Williams at rb.
