Why tonight is important

I'm looking forward to tonight for a number of reasons.

Firstly of course we want to see how Leeds perform against a Prem side. Is our style effective at the top level, are our current players effective at the top level?

But just as important, it's a reward for Bielsa. A world famous manager a long way from home plying his trade in the second level of football in this country.

I have never once heard him complain about anything. Not a Warnock who blames everyone else and complains about everything, not an Evans who talks about himself in the third person, but a man with integrity and a philosophy for football which has lifted a club and a city as well as enthralling a nation.

Ultimately I hope we come through game unscathed in terms of injuries, but I'm also hoping that we give this a good go, that our football philosophy triumphs and that we show the world on a truly global stage what Leeds United are about these days and that Bielsa is alive and well and transforming a city.

Waiting for my train, get back at 3am and then in work at 7.30. Hope it's worth it.

Those games at the start of 2010s with Grayson were great. No fear and the players just went for it. Hope we do that again tonight.

Its a football match, ofcourse we want a win. Would happily take a replay if means a second game against a big club like Arsenal. We can win tonight.

Anyone seen this from the BBC?

In Bielsa we trust! The Council should give that guy painting electric boxes in Leeds a commission!

I think the most important thing is no injuries.

I'm just looking forward to a good, competitive game.

The result, of course i'd love us to win, but in reality it'll be great to see the guys competing with a top side.

Finishing early, get the dogs walked, beer in the fridge already …..

Few days ago (post Jack & Eddie departing), I was all for us losing this one, getting dumped out the cup, then concentrating on the league.

But, today I just want us to give a really top account of ourselves. And see where that leads. I know the team will give 100%. Everything they have. If that means we win and move on, and so putting more pressure on the squad, no problem. If we lose, but at least give it our all, we move on.

I have realized how much I love the FA Cup, despite it maybe not being as massive as it once was.

8,000 fans will give the Emirates something it has never had before - an atmosphere. This is our greatest achievement. No-one loves their team like we do. Ask any one of them whether they think it's important. Around the world, there are many more of us just as excited to watch this one. Radio Leeds have just played snippets of the 1972 Cup Final. My goosebumps splashed into my porridge here in NZ. Here's to the ex-pats. Where are you lads and lasses, what are you up to?
