Alright lads - thought I’d show some love to our Senegalese Sensation.
Forgive me if there has already been an article about Sadio Mane winning the African Player of the Year - I couldn’t find one. What an honour for the lad. Fully deserved.
I’ve just watched the video of Sadio collecting his award and one thing that strikes me about Sadio is just how humble he is. Contrast that to the Lion that takes to the football pitch.

Jamie Carragher wrote some months back that Mane is his favourite Klopp signing and went on further to say that he’s the closest thing we’ve had to a John Barnes type player throughout the Premier League years - high praise indeed.
For me, he has been the talisman for Liverpool FC over the last 12 months and it’s been a privilege to watch him perform. At this rate, he’s surely a contender for Player of the Year.
I really hope he stays at the club over the next 4-5 seasons. Klopp has helped mould him into one of the deadliest players on the planet.
Forgive me if this article is stating the obvious but I just thought we owed it to Sadio after such a big personal achievement for the lad.

Strong, quick, intelligent and so down to earth
Watched that interview before when he was asked about fatigue and tiredness and his response was
“It’s all in the head”
He’s mentally switched on to win things this lad. Love Sadio!!

Wouldn’t say country mile. In fact I’d say Vardy has been the best player. But Mané is different gear. Could quite possibly be the best player in the league overall.

Our Sadio is just phenomenal. When is say “our”, players come, players go we all know that. But Sadio has made an unabashed desire to love and to remain with our club, and that cannot be ignored. He is loved by all Red fans and that cannot be denied. Has there ever been an adverse post about him here by a Red?
Well done, Sadio. Well deserved.
Time to step back up to the plate, Mo. Time to win yer award back mate.

Mane has reached another level and stayed there for 18 months now.
He’s world class for me and i think one of the best in the world.

Been consistently world class since Jan last year. He was always more 'rounded' with his skill set than Salah...now he's finally found the consistency to go with it.

Let me rephrase, I think vardy has been the best player in the league this year, or certainly has a case. But as an overall talent in the league I think mane could be the best player overall(not just this season), probably along with KDB?
