Young’s off

AWB isn't the fastest player ever. His pace isn't really a plus because a lot of players have that too. Him being able to get up and down the wing is basic. All full backs can do that.

How did United get themselves into this position of being such a joke club...ok it's not Spurs level...but still

Is 1 good cross in 23 games a valid sign that he has it in him to be a good attacking full back?

He put in two superb crosses against Newcastle (one for the assist) and two excellent crosses against Arsenal. He has played some good crosses this season, but without leading to goals they’ve been forgotten. He obviously needs to find consistency in this regard but he’s young. Neville’s crossing got much better as he got older.

I can’t really believe people are digging out AWB here. He’s obviously not Cafu going forward but he’s decent with plenty of room for development. He’s the very least of our worries. Having a right sided attacker that is actually any good would help us tremendously. We still don’t have one!

AWB is only facking 22. By no means the finished product. I would hope they work on his attacking game on the training ground over the next couple years.

By 22 most players would show they have what it takes to be an attacking full back. It’s not really something that can be coached.
