Arsenal robbed of nine points!!

The officials were sleeping when Watford's Tom Cleverley encroached on a short goal-kick, which forced the defence into an error and led to a goal. That draw should have been an Arsenal win.

What if Arsenal had been given a penalty for a foul on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Sheffield United with the score at 0-0? That turned a 1-0 defeat into an Arsenal victory. And they were robbed of a winner at home to Crystal Palace by a horrendous VAR decision, which ruled out Sokratis' late goal.

Most recently, if Chelsea's Jorginho had been sent off for a second yellow-card offence when Arsenal were in front then the Gunners would have gone on to win the game to give new boss Mikel Arteta some festive cheer on his home debut.

Then there was Nicolas Pepe foul in the box against Crystal Palace which was penalty but was brushed off by Anthony Taylor with VAR again refusing to intervene.

Arteta will certainly hope the club's luck evens itself out over the course of the season.

I've passed your concerns onto a handful of departments as I think you have a genuine case...

What do Arsenal need to do to get into this elite club?

Would help if VAR would work properly.

Luck? No it's corruption we are fighting against and have been for over a decade now.

A referee from Manchester officiating the match we played against Man Utd and letting their players get away with murder without even considering to show a yellow card was just yet another example of hundreds.

You can’t stop Chelsea diving or fouling it’s contiguous and the ref are always blindsided by the likes of Chelsea.

Oh dear, the tin foil hat brigade is out

I'm struggling to think of any PL manager who hasn't called out a bad VAR/VAR not used, decision at some point this season. I think this has been a season where you can truly say it's balancing out. Because the refs are unanimously fecking EVERYONE with apparently little discrimination. It's a debacle FGS, thus total pot luck whose getting/not getting what. Pool WILL get more benefit of the doubt, same way leading team always does. They're getting no more leeway ATM than anyone that far ahead would.

We really can't moan too much. We've got away with plenty. Christ Xhaka and Gwen alone could have been off the pitch more than once a piece in just the last month. Balances out the pen's we never got. And Jorginho didn't get red because Gwen didn't. Ref let LOADS slide both ways in that game.

Its been gin on for years. When Leicester won the league there were lots of reports that whn clear refs errors were corrected we should ve won it and fairly clearly. That lead to the PL forcing the media to stop reporting that. Its also well now that Mike Riley who heads up the refs professional association hates Arsenal.

Nothing to do with this particular argument because the refs aren't interested in the clubs at present. They couldn't really care less who they're stuffing at any given time. Certain refs/officials no doubt hold grudges against or affection for one particular club. That is true in the PL for sure. So I'm not trying to argue that with you. Just the point that our VAR issues aren't part of a grand club-based agenda. But more an overall, largely indiscriminate, ANTI VAR agenda.

Their agenda is discrediting VAR. Lousy decisions all around, make the fans sick of the VAR. They want it gone or (more obtainable) it's use massively restricted. Current format highlights any bad decision hugely, whilst taking away the refs autonomy to change it. As the ref that leaves you just asking to get hammered, since being only human, in r/t you WILL get things wrong. That's why they need to go check the monitors themselves. If they do, they can be seen to reverse their own bad decision. Whether it was a genuine mistake or they were trying to pull a swifty. Their safe because they fixed it before the man off the pitch did. Or worse before the pundits and fans slated both of them for being blind, after the game.

If they'd just simple sent the damned thing properly then we'd not be dealing with this rubbish. But their too busy sweating their poor decisions being noticed, to realise VAR can be their very own "Bad decision get out of jail free card."

Couldn’t agree more the referees in England are all biased that’s why they’re scared of VAR exposing their biases.
