Derby day as Bolton make the short trip to spotland. Quite a lot has happened since Bolton were beaten 4-3 by Burton on new years day. The independent tribunal has decided Bolton will not be deducted more points so Bolton remain rock bottom with 7 points and 14 plus gd from safety. Several ins and outs. Jake Wright, Josh Earl, Thibaud Verlinden and Liam Bridcutt return to their parent clubs after their loans expired although Keith Hill hopes to re sign Bridcutt when he recovers from injury. Will Buckley has left after his contract expired. Ins, looks like Bolton are planning for league 2. Mo Faal a striker from Enfield, Ethan Hamilton a midfielder on loan from man utd, George Thomason a midfielder from Longridge Town and Toto Nsiala a centre back from Ipswich. Team news. Bolton remain without Jack Hobbs, Joe Bunney and Ali Crawford long term injured. A new centre back pairing so 2 from Nsiala, brockbank, Edwards and zouma to replace earl and wright. Both L.Murphy and Lowe are suspended so Hamilton will make his debut alongside weir or Graham. Verlinden will have to be replaced so likely O'Grady will come in. Faal will probably start on the bench. Adam Chicksen makes his last appearance before his contract ends so can't play at Lincoln on Tuesday night unless he re signs. A tough game today. Rochdale a well run league one side a million miles from what Bolton are at the moment. Still have to look over their shoulder though 4 points from the bottom 3. Rochdale replay in the cup at Newcastle on Tuesday so hopefully their minds will be on that.

How strange is that outburst. Bad timing for a start during a transfer window how are potential new signings going to feel about coming now perhaps KH is thinking of going off to some place like Canada and setting himself up to become self sufficient I don't think he'll manage to trademark his name or his own fashion label. He's done some damage to himself in my eyes and couldn't have picked a worse time to go off on one it might not end well now for him as a result.

Good morning guys.
I have to say that I read Hill's reaction to the game and came on here to ask if I was missing something. What a pathetic, totally unnecessary rant from Hill. I have read the posts from Benny and Pasty and agree totally.
I really do think that Hill has a problem. Not long ago he kept going on about not being responsible for what happened in the past, now he is criticising everyone and everything for not being on the same page as him and the consortium. I think he needs to sit down take a chill pill and reflect on what he has said. If he can find it in himself to see that he is totally wrong, he should perhaps issue an apology to both the press and the fans.
Personally, I think he has largely had the support of both the fans and the press. We all knew it wasn't going to be an easy fix and I dare say that with the changes made yesterday, we would have been surprised but happy if we had managed to get a result.
Was he completely over the top? Definitely, and he needs to sort himself out if he wants to continue to have the support of the press and the fans.

Mark Iles has written his big match verdict. He gives his verdict on Hill's comments and somewhat unsurprisingly doesn't go quite as far as I have but in fairness, he makes it plain that Hill was out of order.

Hill is now saying that he doesn't want credit just respect. I was always told that you have to earn respect. So Keith knows what to do. Get on with his job and don't criticise the fans or the press unless it's deserved. Even then it should only be used when the fans fail to respect our fellow man in the most despicable ways or for acts of violence. He mustn't forget that the fans pay their hard-earned cash and are entitled to voice their views.

Hill must have a very thin skin. Think back to the abuse megson, coyle, Freedman and parky got. He's had nothing apart from being referred as benny hill on the beano comments. Most understand the position we are in.

His dream job that’s what K.H. said, now keep us in division 1 and you will have done the job, anything less will be frowned upon by myself!! because I applied for the job and was turned down.
In all seriousness he has done ok, but if he keeps us in this division he would go down in history that has to be worth a punt, if that doesn’t motivate him nothing will .

Hill has let chicksen go. Totally baffles me that one. He's not a squad player, he's played nearly every game since he signed and earned at least a contract to the end of the season. This is also a player who nailed Bolton out when they didn't have a left back and this is the way he has been treated. If you was a player coming to the end of his contract in the summer would you want to play for hill? I wouldn't. And we still haven't got a left. Baffled.
