manager that promised so much and delivered so little over the past five years is now all but done. They gave us some entertainment, but at the end of the day, they won nothing, and always fell at the final hurdle.
Lloris, long term injury
Walker, departed
Toby, still putting in a decent shift
Verts, all but done
Rose, finished
Dier, finished
Dembele, departed
Lamela, sicknote
Eriksen, on the way out
Dele, gone backwards
Kane, long term injuries every season
Pochettino, departed
The end of an era, a new chapter is now beginning. I think Spurs need to go back to basics now. Throughout their history, they have always been a cup team, never really been a league team, that said they have won the title a couple of times. But in general they picked up trophies (cups), when they were nowhere near the top of the table. This should now be the way forward. Build a solid, if not spectacular side over the next season or two, and go all out to win a domestic trophy. A season or two out of the CL will be no big deal, although I have enjoyed the CLs campaigns.
Spurs still have the basis of a decent side, they just need to plug a few holes. At the back, Aurier is showing some really good form, given he is having a run in the side, he played very well yesterday, and put in the best cross of the match, and it really should have resulted in an equaliser. Sanchez was very good as well yesterday, Toby put in a decent shift, and Tarringa looks a really decent prospect. Left back continues to be a problem area and a new left back should be a priority, Sessignon for me is not a left back, he is more a wing back, and that is where he should be used.
Midfield is a problem area, although Lo Celso showed lots of promise yesterday. N`dombele is a complete waste of £50 million and has been a huge disappointment, permanently injured, I would take a hit on him, and move him on ASAP, and bring in a player that can actually get on the pitch and play games. Winks was OK yesterday, if he plays like that, then he can play a part in the future. Dele needs somebody challenging him, as does Son, both blow very hot and cold. Moura I thought was good yesterday, at least he gives his all. Definitely need another striker though, Kane getting injured for three months every season is not good. Hopefully Parrott can be integrated slowly into the side.
Players that need to go, either sold or on loan
KWP
Verts
Rose
Dier
Skipp
Wanyama
Spend some money on two or three decent players that will give their all and be available to play and not be injured every other game, and I would be happy with that. Put in some decent Prem displays and go for a domestic cup, and I would be even happier. It will take two or three windows, but the whole team over the next season or so will be unrecognisable from the past five years, and so it should do. Nothing lasts forever.
COYS
So it is clear that the team and the

It's so worrying when we consider what needs to be done to the squad. It's worse when you realise Levy won't do what is required.
That said, there was alot of positives from yesterday. Liverpool are on a different planet to us if we are to be honest, yet we probably should have knicked a draw in the end. The issue we have though is never really coming good when it matters. Lo Celso has to play more games. Moura was excellent yesterday and so was Aurier. Tanganga also looks a prospect.
Dele was shocking and so was Eriksen. Players cant keep putting in 6/10 performances and expect to get away with it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Total twattle..... they are NOT "on a different planet" at all.
The game should have been a draw at least if not a win for Spurs... and given another 10 minutes,...it would have been.
They are an over-rated side and contain dirty players like Henderson who should be permanently banned from playing football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They have lost one game in the league since the start of last season. They have won the CL, Super Cup and World Club Cup and are about to win the league, possibly unbeaten. I'm no fan of Liverpool by any stretch of the imagination but we have lost nearly 20 games in that time if not more. They are on a different level.

You obviously did not watch this game.

Saturday these two teams were dead even over the two halves, and Spurs were stronger at the end.

In footballing terms, these are the dark days. When teams are advantaged to a such extent that wins them games, then the game becomes a joke.

Oh yes, and Liverpool were by far the dirtiest team I have seen in many seasons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They certainly know how to tactically foul, its why they are so good defensively, Klopp struck gold with these tactics because not many referees will punish their players for their persistent professional fouling, they are allowed to get away with murder on the pitch. The refs really should clamp down on them, but they won`t.

Was a red imo , very disappointed VAR didn't even review it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolute red, I cannot believe Match of the Day Pundits, said it was not even a foul. It was as clear a red as it gets. Studs up, going in above the ankle. The ref was very, very poor in not reviewing it. Had that been a Spurs player, he would have been off the pitch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
VAR did look and deemed it not to be a foul.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What's the difference?

There is no point talking about what we need anymore because we won't get it from Levy. We are left short in areas and have been for years, only right now is probably the most work we've ever needed doing. This is why he's a chairman who has only managed 1 trophy in 20 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well why would you say we won`t get it from Levy. Didn`t he give us our team that has been in the CL four seasons in a row. It is just that team has had it`s day and Spurs now need to rebuild.
I just don`t get all the negativity around Daniel Levy, he has to run Spurs as a proper financially stable club. Not some fantasy football project, where money is thrown around like confetti.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I believe that Poch helped punch us above our weight with some of these players. Especially last season when we got top 4 and a CL final. Even you have said in your OP that Dele and Son blow hot and cold, Kane is injury prone, and other players are aging, which makes last season a pretty good achievement from Poch in my eyes. His reward? Get sacked a few months into next season.

Pochettino had the best of players at his disposal for about 30 years, and couldn't get them to win a bean. That team is now gone, as is the manager. Time to move on.

My ST is in row 22 south stand. I think its pretty obvious I was talking about in general, not the 2nd half yesterday. Unless of course, you think the 2nd half shows we are a match for Liverpool.
They are miles between than us, and the WUMs on here won't change my opinion.
