To try and summarise, there are three camps.
The first camp wanted Ole out after five games or so.
Personally I have never taken them seriously, because it was obviously an idea already fixed, so every loss would be used as a stick, instead of looking at how things progressed.
Then the next camp wanted Poch to replace Ole when Spurs fired him. This is serious and understandable. Poch is a super manager with a great record, the only blots being this season at Spurs and no trophy. It's quite possible, even probable, that he could do very well at United.
The third camp is wait and see how Ole does over at least this season. At the moment I'm still firmly in this camp. Imo he has not done too badly bearing in mind the hand he was dealt and the injuries suffered. Injuries are not an excuse, they are a reason.
Whilst I know Poch would probably do well, if he wanted the job, it's also quite possible that Ole will, because nobody can convince me he has failed so far.
The results have been in line with what I expected, his use of the youngsters has been exemplary, his buys have been good, although we all know Maguire was too dear, and I like his ideas for the future;
So it seems to me very unfair to sack a man who is doing, at the very least, a reasonable job, without giving him the opportunity to see if he cannot do even better.
Poch may or may not do better, nothing is guaranteed.
Ole may or may not do better, nothing is guaranteed.
But he's the one in the chair and should be backed until he fails.
Ole in or out.

That's a huge gamble given itl cost £150m, another 12-18 months ans see us iss out on available coaches like Poch and Allegri.
