Christiensen

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the game at the weekend, but after lampards comments about christiensen in the week when asked about AC Milan, it sounds like he had a point to prove at the weekend. Do we see him having a future with us? Or 6 months to play for his future?

After his Monchengladbach loan he was rated so highly, i've never seen a player that looks like he should be rated highly in him.

The Danish Lindelof.

Christensen hasn't got the mentality for the big occasion? BS.

Stepping out of his comfort zone to embark on loan abroad takes
You don't go from academy football straight to top-level senior football and become an established key player immediately at 18...without having the mentality required.

Furthermore...

Had the mentality to deal with Lewandowski thrice at age 19/20 (eagerly anticipating their next meeting in Feb)
Had the mentality to put in outstanding displays against Juventus In the CL, in his first year of senior football.
More than held his own against Messi and co. on numerous occasions.
Put in man of the match displays against City, both for Gladbach & Chelsea.
Had the mentality to help guide that Gladbach side to their first semi-final for yonks (lost out on pens).
Stifled and had the measure of one of the top strikers in Kane first time of asking at Wembley and again in Carabao.
Had the mentality to get the better of Arsenals' strikerforce of Aubameyang & Lacazette In Europa final last season.
Just to name a few.

But no no...hasn't proven himself to have the mentality for the big occasions and one cameo sub appearance (which is a ridiculously small sample size) proves that Lamptey has unequivocally got the mentality. Warped logic.

Held in high regard by coaches for his commitment, attitude and qualities particularly reading of the game and on the ball.

Pity he didn't get the opportunity to play alongside JT.

A minor point but he was already abroad, he moved closer to home with his loan.

The thing is, or so the saying goes, when you are young, and not much is expected of you (also in a smaller team) their is less pressure and you have no fear.

Citing examples from atleast 2/3 years ago, especially at gladbach, have no relevance to this conversation.
He does look shaky mentally and physically, that is not a myth people have made up, its based on evidence since that barca game.

Lamptey I cannot comment on as I have not seen him enough.
