John Stones loan move

So you guys are looking to get Stones on loan?
Not going to happen especially when you consider how thin we are on CBs.

Maybe we can talk during the Summer if you are still interested.

Lack of anticipation, physicality and concentration. Other than that he’s great at defending.

There was a reason why City paid silly money for him. It happens to a lot players who think they have arrived and relax. Others try even harder and succeed. Stones has a chance to resurrect his career if he moves. If he doesn't do it no one loses. City keep him and and he continues to languish in the reserves till his contract runs out. Its up to him really if City let him go. Like I said no downside really.

Like I said. Some carry the price tag others don't. Up to Stones if he has the balls to turn it around. He is only 25. Its not like he is 30+.

Silly money?

Try getting any established premier league English CB at 22 years of age for less than £50m. Especially one who's a full international.

His passport alone is worth £25-30m the way this market works.

He won't continue to languish in the reserves for us if he sorts his head out. The last two seasons, for the first few months before injury, he was superb. He makes a big difference to our attacking transition when he's in form too.

The issue is when he's not on it. He's either superb or awful, there's no middle ground at all, and recently there's been very little of the former.

Pretty much. Last season was probs my the first he didn’t really build any form. But prior to that he’s always started strongly

Yep. It’s why he’s such a frustrating player.

I doubt City would give him to us but I actually would be pretty happy with this, especially as a loan signing.

He’s played in the PL, he’s worked with Arteta, he’s been part of the defence that won back to back PL titles. We could do a lot worse (and we have when you look at our current CBS).
