Robertson’s tackle on Tanganga

Perfection

Won the ball
Took out the man
Passed the ball

Even our friend VAR reviewed it just so every bitter rival could see how perfect a challenge it was!

Ohhhhhh Andy Andy!

The tackle? Six of one, a half dozen of the other. Two professional players, one, on his debut, played very well indeed, the other, totally committed as ever, went for the ball, which Andy was first to.

I’ve got no complaints about either player, each was playing flat out to win the ball and win the game. What more can you ask?

Spurs, despite missing their target man, played very well indeed. They deserved, dare I say it, at least a draw, and they would have won if their front four were better finishers with the ball.

Three more points. End of.

if you are giving spurs a goal for their bad shooting we should get another 1 because of the easy chances we missed

Haven't you heard? We are lucky because teams missed chances against us. We are not unlucky because we have missed more chances than they have.

Robbo won the ball and caught the Tott with the outside of his foot.

A foul, yes. A red card, no chance.

It's just straw grabbing from the likes of morestraws. We dominated for 65 mins or so. Our players took their foot off the gas and spurs came into the game. This would have displeased Jurgen, but there is no doubt who the superior team was. We played that game in second gear and Tottenham still couldn't land a punch.

Not a foul for me. If anything the Spurs player fouled Robertson, having arrived late, caught him and not got the ball, with his tackle. Robertson wasn't tackling, he was passing the ball.

it's a serious skill to be able to win the ball and tag your opponent such that he is no longer effective.

that kid was climbing all over mane all game. robbo fixed him.

looked at how he wound up messi.

look out the flamengo player.

sorted out alderweireld.

it's all part of the game still.

In the same way, Aubameyangs tackle was perfection. 🙄

If its a foul or not is debatable - personally i dont think it is, he flicks the ball away with the top of his foot (so not studs up) which then exposes his studs - no way he could stop the direction he was traveling and was in no way dangerous!

But anyone who think it's in any way comparable to Aubameyangs (studs up nowhere near the ball) is simply blinkered by hatred!
