Great back up, if DDG had some injury I'd have no concerns of having to play Romero for a longer spell.

The clean stats must be down to the fact he plays the cup games though, so the earlier rounds against lower opposition sometimes, and the Europa group stage.

But considering United's cup draws the last years most of those games have been PL teams.

A list of his last 10 games puts this to bed quite easily...

I know this sounds strange but I feel with we get more look with Romero in goal. That chance Jimenez had early on flies in the corner with De Gea in goals imo.

Not talking about him being at United but when he hangs his boots being a number 2 to DDG for 5 years is hardly inspiring. He could easily be number 1 at a number of the PL clubs like Spurs, West Ham etc

Id DDG had Romero's aura of calmness and confidence he'd be even better IMO. Romero isn't the better keeper but his confidence manner on the pitch makes it seem like he is. To be fair though in the last few weeks DDG has actually ventured to the corner of the box on occasion so maybe he's learning!

I think he can look back on that with huge satisfaction when he hangs up his boots
