On Thursday Wolves welcome Liverpool to Molineux.
Liverpool will have just 3 days rest since their last game, a 2-0 win against
Manchester United on Sunday evening. But there will be no sympathy from the home crowd due to the fact that the last time the two teams met, Wolves had enjoyed a break of just 43 hours after their epic defeat of Manchester City at Molineux.

Wolves also go into the game on the back of a win, a 3-2 defeat of in-form Southampton at Saint Mary’s on Saturday afternoon. The game was memorable for several reasons, not least of which was that it was the first game that Wolves have had the benefit of 2 VAR decisions in their favour.
This is in complete contrast to the previous game against Liverpool on December 29th, when VAR reviews twice went in Liverpool’s favour. Liverpool were not so lucky on Sunday having 2 goals chalked off by VAR themselves.

Nuno’s squad is down to the bare bones now with defender Willy Boly, wing-back Ruben Vinagre and forward Diogo Jota all having missed the Southampton game through injuries. The home crowd will be hoping to see the return of Jota for this game as he was voted man of the match in the previous meeting at Anfield.

Wolves went into the reverse fixture at Anfield following the 3-2 defeat of Man City having been 2 goals down after 50 minutes. They go into this game having beaten Southampton 3-2 having been 2 goals down at half time. Despite this coincidence, Nuno’s side will not be looking for a repeat of the previous 1-0 result in favour of Liverpool and would dearly love to be the first team to take 3 points from the Merseyside giants this season.

The game will be shown live on BT Sport

Gem’s prediction: 1-1

Frustrates the shat out of me that we have left so many points on the table, we should be up alongside Chelsea and clear of the shambles like Utd and Spurs

Ha, halfy's left Gem speechless!

Does look as if there's some negotiation and funding barriers to overcome in order to get the development right. Its a shame that the club cant crack on with the Steve Bull development but better to get it right.

There is also talk of an academy stadium being built for the U23s.

No no, Gem had made a subtle edit where Halfy was extremely rude......and rightly so, apologies

Sounds like as well as filling the corner this summer, they are looking at some short term improvements to the Steve Bull stand. Entrance to the upper tier is a nightmare nowadays, bordering on being unsafe as the queues stretch all the way to the opposite side of the road and in reality it’s just a mass of people rather than queues. And the toilet facilities are completely inadequate now we get full houses every week. Not sure how they are going to solve those problems in the space available though

I don't see any advantage in delaying building a new stadium.
Very disappointing decision by Forum.

Looks like Vallejo will leave the club this week as Real Madrid have arranged a new loan for him

Man Utd’s home defeat tonight means just a draw tomorrow would put Wolves 5th. A win and we would only be 3 points off 4th

The SB turnstile entrance definitely needs sorting, its crazy even half an hour before kick off. We walk down from the subway to the north bank, North street is just blocked, the tendency is to try and sneak around the back of the queue and on to the grass bank, nearly ended up on my ar se a number of times.

Dont know whats changed, I had a ST in there in the 90s and never had any such problems and it was full every week, same number of turnstiles, same number of punters. The smart cards work fine in the north bank and there's even less space beyond the turnstiles in there that the SB. Odd.
