Which Striker?

So it’s pretty clear we need a striker option and should of got one the moment we released Llorente, but as per usual Levy and Co don’t think about the playing team, but instead worry about figures and finances. Now Kane is out for the season, it’s pretty much crucial we draft in a quality striker to not only share the load if need be, but be a quality back up when needed. So our options potentially are as follows and ones I want, but know could be unrealistic due to our nature in the market but ......

Alcacer - Dortmund striker who actually has a decent goal scoring record and still relatively young at 26. Won’t be getting much game time now they have signed Haaland. Possible loan to buy option, or we could pick him up for 25/30 mil which is a bargain

Piatek - Milan striker we have been strongly linked to. Classic number 9 and bases his game on Kane. Decent goal for Milan recently, but they tend to play Rebic and now Ibrahimovich, so his chances will be limited. Loan option being touted but I can see Milan wanting money for him, especially if they are buying Olmo. 25 mil

Cavani - officially handed in a transfer request so is definitely available. Spurs paying his wages is another scenario altogether though. He would be certainly the marque type striker signing despite his age. Short term replacement for Kane and a perfect striker to play up top. Could pick him up for a bargain.

Jovic - hasn’t hit the high notes at Madrid yet, but hasn’t been given the appropriate chances either, but had a fantastic season for Frankfurt, so clearly is a talented striker. No way are buying this guy, so this would be purely a loan option. Not keen on loaning players to help Madrid.

Timo Werner - I know unrealistic because he would probably cost 60 mil, but this is the guy I would go for in a flash. Not only can he play upfront on his own if need be, but also has fantastic pace, so when Kane is eventually Back, we could play a forward 3 of Son, Kane and Werner. Don’t think many clubs would rival that front 3.

Thoughts on the striker you want ?

“ No other manager at any top club would get that long without winning anything.”

It was poch that turned us into a “top” / relevant club

in the 60s we were relevant though

Klopp spent almost 3 seasons at Liverpool before winning anything. It was only because the board didn't stand still like ours that they've since gone on to win stuff and become an exceptional team.

Levy is more shrew than shrewd.

We got to a final within five months of Klopp arriving and lost on penalties tbf.

Investment is indeed key though.

Not read the replies so apologies if already suggested.

Piatek and Jovic look good bets. Always thought Ings would be pergect for Spurs.

Wood at Burnley is like Kane lite so could work as a cheaper less fashionable option.

Poch reached a final in his first season too but like Klopp didn't finish in the top 4.
