During our winning streak we started with this formation or adopted it a lot.
I have hardly seen it during this shocking run.
It is no coincidence that during this run the position of left back as being highlighted as huge weakness. A weakness that is negated by 3-3-1-3.
So why have we hardly used it recently?
Unfortunately Phillips' suspension makes it difficult to use it more often in the next 3 games.
Whether the opposition is playing 1 or 2 up front I would like to see us use this formation a lot more and cannot understand why Bielsa appears to have moved away from it.
What Happened to 3-3-1-3

Who is the 'one' ?

Hernandez or Roberts. Who have both been injured.

Not sure if this explains but it does say it depends on the other team as to what setup he uses!..

Cal, he has also used Klich in the 10 role but he’s no where near as effective as Pablo or Roberts. He’s an 8 and probably the person I would have cover Phillips as a 4 in this system. He’s far from perfect. In fact he’s a poor option there but possibly our best.
Germany, as I mentioned in the article, he prefers this system against 2 up top. But I would like to see him use it more and against 1 up top too. One of the biggest reasons for this is the left back problem we have defensively.

As you say Lubo. It may just be he didn’t have the players available for this system. Now Pablo is back I think we need to revert back to it as much as possible
