Should win tomorrow although by no means a walkover - the more worrying aspect is the pitch. Apparently itβs one of the worst pitches in the league and a potential injury hotspot.
Do we risk playing the big names like Martial and Maguire? Or try and do it with the kids.
Tranmere away

Watfords team is better than that. look what happened to them at Tranmere

They did change their whole XI though to be fair. That should be enough IMO. Tranmere should be pretty knackered as well after Thursday night.

I wouldn't play any of our first teamers who are carrying knocks.
For me
Romero
Dalot
Bailly
Lindelof
Shaw
Pereira
Matic
Lingard
Mata
James
Greenwood
Should be enough to get the job done if Ole wants some experience in there as well

Yeah I think that team's more than strong enough. And against League One opposition, Jesse may find his level and absolutely smash it today

Lingard and Pereira in the same team. Is that legal?

Could be entertaining

I still say that the main problem Lingard and Pereira are having this season is the formation - they’re often played as the 10, where you want your most technical and creative player. No wonder their limitations are being shown up, Lingard in particular.

Maybe with Lingard. Pereira, to be fair to him, is actually pretty good technically. His problem is that he's got the vision of Stevie Wonder and he thinks he's a far better player than he is, hence him constantly taking 6 touches when one would suffice and constantly shooting from distance when there are better options around him. If and when we do get rid of Pereira, I doubt he'll be short of suitors in his own mind

He is pretty sound technically but it’s his first proper season in a PL side, a stuttering side at that, and I think he’d be better in a proper midfield three.

Robb was wrong, a complete walkover. In fact it was a history making walkover.
