Have to say im becoming just a tad concerned about the direction the team are going in just now.
Since returning from the break the 3 games we've played so far indicate the following to me
1.We have done NOTHING to strengthen the team for the here and now ie we've bought another 2 x 21 year old "projects"
2.We cant play 3 at the back as our CHs aren't good enough or organised enough to play that way.
3.Griff is sadly finished at this level
4.Hayes is awful
5.Bauer makes Hayes look good
6.Ntchams a good player but not suited to the no 10 role
7.If we do win this title then we need to break the bank to try and get Eddy to stay beyond the summer
8.Mikey isn't ready to start games yet hes more effective as an impact sub
9.Forrest has returned to being an enigma again
10.We need a proper LB as Boli is awful,Hayes isn't even a LB and it seems Lenny doesn't want Taylor in the team?(for me i prefer Taylor to our other options at least he can defend.
on the positive side we do have a lot of our starting 11 out injured at the moment so things will improve when the likes of Christie,Ely,El Hamed,Frimpong etc are available again
lets hope the diet current buns can do us a favour today (doubt it though they are awful)

Benkovic would be fabulous as he walks into that defence as part of a 3.
I’ve only realised that the reason we didn’t play 3 at the back on Saturday is because we had Ajer, Biton and El Hammed out2 fit centre halfs out of 5, mental.

Career-wise, Benkovic would have been far better staying with us another year. As soon as it became obvious he wasn’t doing that, Lenny dropped him like a stone ... so he didn’t feature in his last 2 months or so with us, and has barely kicked a baw for anybody since. Total waste at a crucial stage of his development.
Class player, but I’d worry he would literally be walking in our team, match fitness wise.
