“Your economy is is bigger than the 18 smallest EU countries COMBINED. This means in economic terms that the EU will lose not just one member - but shrink from 28 members to just 10."

Sorry, but as a statistician, this is just not a correct way of interpreting it. The key word there is "smallest." Yet he's given them equal weighting when mentioning economic terms. For example, let's say those 18 countries made up 2% of the combined economy. Then Brexit would be the equivalent of losing 1/50 of their membership.

Brexiters still persisting with their twisted lies.

If he doesn’t like your views he filters you..........says more about him than me I think

You may be right, however it changes nothing in terms of the bigger picture painted by a top German political journalist.
If you took the trouble (sizzle will not have read it, he doesn’t believe in facts) to read his article it paints a dire picture from an EU perspective😳

Oh I don't doubt that the UK leaving the EU will be bad news for the EU as a whole. We're a major economic power within the union.

Tbh I just pointed out that it was a blatantly misleading use of statistics. As someone who's quite numerically minded and borderline autistic, it just jumped out a mile to me

Yeah, that one made me chuckle. From 28 to 10

Similarly, it is remarkable that EU member states account for only 7% of the World’s population____but 50% of ALL welfare spending.
-----
So is it that Europe should reduce its welfare spending or is it the rest of the world that needs to shape up? All the countries in the world that have no real or proper welfare would love to have it.

This stat is presented in a misleading manner IMO. Its not a bad thing.

We need policies and strategies that are long term and will eventually put the world on the same level, not policies designed for the benefit of any particular group of people in the coming couple of decades, because the world is now too linked up and connected, so much so that looking after yourself at every turn and corner is actually detrimental to you or your children in the long run. We have to start looking after the whole more. If everyone had been a globalist the last 60-80 years we would be doing much better IMO.

As in all cases statistics can be made to look at something in several different ways.

This was a report by an acknowledged and respected German journalist, it was not written by me!

As usual you try to shoot the messenger

You have NEVER written anything on here that resembles anything like the truth or facts............instead you are still in denial and continue to brand anyone who voted to leave as racist, neo-naaazis or right wing immigrant haters..............in reality you are the only one with hate in their head!

I’ve posted plenty of facts.

Not my fault if you’re too f*cking thick to understand them. You are a quitter after all, so hardly the sharpest tool.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/may/20/racism-on-the-rise-since-brexit-vote-nationwide-study-reveals

Here’s a fact.

The country is more racist since the Brexshit vote. Who’d have thought that legitimating hate towards immigrants, refugees and Muslims would have led to that eh?
